Catch of the Day

Stocking surprises

Jack was too enamored with his train table to care a thing about what was in his stocking. Caroline, on the other hand, was quite pleased with the little things.

Like a kid again...

Happy, happy, joy, joy!

If Santa's bag exploded...

and Caroline was caught in the middle, this is what it'd look like.

Isn't it pretty? We should've taken an after picture!

Watching and waiting

Jack watched The Cat in the Hat and enjoyed his milk while he waited for everyone to gather 'round the tree on Christmas morning. Oh, and Thomas was there too.

A day at the zoo!

Last Saturday we had a warmish day so we decided to pack up and head to the Fort Worth Zoo. I love going to the zoo when I don't have to fight the crowds and the heat, that's for sure.
In the car, on the way!
Jack was ALL ABOUT this goat! We were shocked since he's pretty timid about things like this.In the stagecoach...Checking out the burrowing owls...and the fox...and deer...Call of the WildJack and the ginormous alligator snapping turtle. He loves this guy!His first train ride. It was all he talked about the rest of the day!

A light walk...

Several days ago, just before a cold front blew through, we decided to start a new Christmas tradition. We had dinner and got the kiddos all bathed and jammied and piled them into the stroller to take a "Light Walk" around the neighborhood. We moseyed around gawking at our neighbor's Christmas displays and even went down to the park to see it all lit up. We got home just in time to put the kiddos to bed right as the temperature started dropping. Jack thought it was the neatest thing ever and we all had so much fun!
All snuggled up and ready to go!In front of our houseThe tree in the park
